Shish Bayswater

www.restaurant-guide.com - 3rd May 2005

Following on from the success of its first two branches in Willesden and Old Street , Shish opened a third restaurant in London 's Bayswater. The new Shish will offer a menu truly reflecting the diverse range of cultures and healthy cuisines found in countries including China, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Persia, Lebanon and Turkey.

The star attraction is the skewer, or shish kebab, served as a stand alone dish or wrapped in freshly baked pitta bread. Like its sister restaurants the Bayswater outlet also offers great value koftas, satay and the likes served with fresh bread, rice, salad or couscous. The modern and unfussy interior mirrors the appeal of the food. Watch as your food is grilled to order in front of your eyes to ensure the best possible flavor.

Talking of flavors the various kebabs including chicken, pork, beef, lamb and a variety of different types of fish can be marinated in a choice of various herbs and spices for a wonderfully intense or subtle taste sensation, making this a fun and informal place to dine. The set price lunch is a choice of two cold mezze then either chicken fattoush/honey and lemon salmon/halloumi shish (V) plus a bottle of stella or a mineral water.
