Kick a Kebab

The superior Kebab-meisters at Shish have come up with a splendid takeaway offer for the World Cup: on match nights, any of their kebabs, a side dish and a bottle of beer will set you back a mere tenner.  Their menu craftily spans the length of the ancient ‘silk road’, so kebabs might include Mediterranean lamb, Indian chicken or Chinese pork; all are a few notches up from the average after-the-pub grease-bundle.  In any case, screaming abuse at a Lithuanian linesman from the comfort of your own sofa just isn’t the same without a beer in one hand and a kebab in the other.  71-75 Bishops Bridge Road, W2;  020 7229 7300
